The Rule of Four
Wednesday, March 29th, 2006So much I wanna do!
Tuesday, March 28th, 2006My title had been changed again. I am now Assistant Revenue Manager. I actually have my own office which is not bad. I am trying to get use to my new duties, and so far, it hasn’t been bad. I think I can enjoy my work, but still working my way up.
Other than work, I will start school in May. Really looking forward to it.
Life had been the usual stuff. Have been reading a lot lately and there are still so many books I wanna read. I think I am going crazy since most of the time, all I wanna do is read.
The weather here is getting very humid and I hate it. Everything is so wet and damp. We always have to keep the de-humidifier on. I find it so strange that in Canada, we need a humidifier and here, we need a de-humidifier. Can’t things just balance themselves out? An I have an everlasting flu. I am alright except for a continuous running nose. I think I had it for almost 2 months now.
Nothing much is happening. I am now only looking forward to my trip to Taipei.

This one is a continuous story; the type I like. You can feel the sadness in the story, thus showing what a good job Jimmy did. This is the 10th book I have read of his; he had written 26 books so far, plus one coming out soon. I am really looking forward to the one coming out since it is a continuous story too.

This book is about wall street bankers going to China looking for investment opportunities. It tells of their struggles with the Chinese culture and the way that Chinese works. As I have experiences with both cultures, I understand the difficulties that they are facing. China had really came a long way, and I think it still have a lot of catching up to do.

Saturday, March 18th, 2006Another Update
Friday, March 17th, 2006Starting on Monday, my title will officially be changed to Revenue Management Coordinator. To me, it’s just a title and I really don’t care if the word Manager is there. I am feeling pressured, but most of it is self inflicted. I was repeatedly told to relax and take it step by step; but I am really not confident in my new post. With this new post, there will be a few trainings coming up. First, I will be going to Chengdu at the end of Apr for 3 or 4 days for a training course. Then, in June, I will be going to Hainan Island (Sanya) for a week where I will be attending a conference. I guess the trips are the good part. Then on the personal side, I will be going to Taipei from Apr the 12th to 16th; really looking forward to it. I hope to plan another short trip in the summer months, maybe to Singapore or Malaysia. I have to save my vacation days for a 2 weeks trip to Toronto as well. Why can’t I have more vacation days?
Other than that, I have been admitted to Master of Arts in Hospitality Management offered by Birmingham University, in conjunction with Macau University of Science & Technology. Just over 2 years from now I will be getting my Master Degree; really looking forward to it. Not looking forward to the tuition fee though. The worst thing is I have to pay the whole HKD$69,000 in one lump-sum.
I think that is all that’s happening in my life.
