愛無能

2018573947002b_1Bought this book because the name got my attention.  It wasn’t bad afterall.  The story wasn’t very smooth but I did enjoy it.  The relationships are confusing but it all had to do with fate and destiny.

Chengdu - 5 day business trip

060423_1The part I enjoyed the most was the hotel since we were treated very well.  Other than cakes, we also have fruit and tea everyday.

I walked all the way there and see what happened to the statue.  Upsetting.

060426_22← Panda Base

Sichuan is famous for its Pandas, so we went to see it.  I expected to see more, even some cubs, but we only saw about 10 adult pandas in total.  Kind of disappointing.  The pandas were cute though.  All they do is eat, and they lie down to eat.  So funny.

Other than training, this trip was good for net-working. I get to meet people of IHG from other countries. Two of them striked me the most, since they did or are doing things that I dreamt of doing. I never had the energy or will power though, so I am quite jealous of them. They have memories that I long to have, but will never find. Once again, I am looking at my life and seeing that I am no where. I am not who I wanna be and not where I wanna be at. Is this how my life is suppose to be?

Training

Friday, April 21st, 2006

Going to Chengdu, Sichuan tomorrow for a 3-days training course.  Looking forward to it?  Yes and No.  Good to get away and go to somewhere that I have never been to.  Bad that I will be going to study and be alone in China.  I never liked China and never felt comfortable there.  I will be flying from HK and be back on Thursday.  I will have free time there tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.  Maybe I will get to do some sightseeing; though, I don’t foresee myself going far from the hotel.  I will post pics when I come back.

2018571221593bThis story was written awhile ago, thus, some of the thing seem out of date and hard to relate to.  Overall though, it was a well written story with different types of relationship being portrayed.  This is the first book I’ve read of this author and I know she had written a lot of books.

Any recommendation of what other books I should read?

我的世界

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

S1636655This is Jimmy’s newest book.  I bought the autographed version and is the third book of his I own.  It is a story about a blue stone, and like most of his other books, about loneliness.

Didn’t get a chance to go to Yangmingshan the last time I was in Taipei.

I think he was shooting a commercial for Coach.  They didn’t let us take pictures though.

Finally had a ride on the ferris wheel.  It was nice; just too bad it was raining.

S1376062This is Jimmy’s first book.  It is very grey.  His earlier books are mostly a story, which I like.  This is the 14th book of his I’ve read, and I liked majority of them.

微笑的魚

S1388700This book had been made into a short animated film and I bought the DVD when I was in Taipei; so I had to read the book first.  I liked the story.  It was very simple, but heartfelt.  One good thing about Jimmy’s book is that you can re-read it and find something new each time.

I also read the English version of "Turn Right, Turn Left"; I liked the Chinese version more.

Vacation Time!

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

I will be going to Taipei tomorrow and back on the 16th.  My feeling this time is very different from last year.  Last time, I was full of anticipation and excitement.  This time around, I don’t have much feeling.  It’s like going to HK, a very normal thing.  I don’t have anything special that I wanna do there, except going to bookstores, if you consider that special.  And I will be able to take pictures that I wasn’t able to take last time, since I won’t be alone.  I really miss Taipei and going for 5 days just isn’t enough.  I guess if I have a choice and is capable of doing, I will move there.  It’s the lifestyle that I like.  I will post some pics when I get back.  It’s nice to get a break from all the graphs I am doing at work.

And the answer to my phone question … Black!  Ha ha!  I think the black one looks the best when you see the real phone coz I don’t like the double colours on the others.  And so far, I’m loving it!
