Finally had a chance to catch up on some reading this weekend. I’ve bought many (maybe too many!) books recently and they are stacking up. I really need to set aside some time to read them.
Finished this book today and really liked it. This one is about proverty and it is very good. The author used a great approach and it really made me laugh, and almost cried.
As expected from 小S, this book is funny. I especially like the chapter about the operation. She really have a stange view on things and it can make you laugh.
Today we had a work outing and went to Pan Yu. We spent most of the day on the bus, and it was tiring. The only sight worth mentioning is 寶墨園. We spent a lot of time feeding fish and there were really lots of fish.
Have been looking forward to going to the book fair for a while; but it was too crowded. It was so crowded that you can’t even walk. All I bought was books that I knew I wanted. I couldn’t look at any other books. While I was about to leave, I saw a few stars. I went up to ask and he said "Fifteen minutes!" I just looked at him and couldn’t say anything. He was getting ready to go on stage and asked me to wait 15 minutes, but I left. Here’s some pics:
Haven’t been blogging lately, since all that had been happening in my life is budgeting and revenue. Work had taken up most of my time, preparing for next year’s budget. It will be back to normal after this week. Other than that, there are more trainings coming up. One is early August in HK and another in September in Singapore. I am really looking forward to the one in Singapore, since I have never been there. I plan to take a couple of days off and stay a little longer.
I will be going to HK on Saturday and staying for 1 night. Will be going to the book fair and see if I can find some books. There’re so many books I wanna read. What else! Trying very hard to find better seats for the Leehom concert on Aug 26th. Keeping my fingers crossed. A concert that I am really lookig forward to.
Nothing much happening, life is boring as usual and really wanna have a real vacation (not business trips!).
This book is very good, and my favourite among Amy’s booksso far. The story was very touching and realistic. While reading, there were a lot of times when you will reflect on your own life. It seems like you became part of the story. I will definitely recommend this book.
This one is like a mystery novel, but the ending was a little disappointing. It was not what I expected and seem a too surreal. I guess I should have known since the author’s other books in this series area also fantasy like. Overall, it was interesting enough to have kept me wanting to finish the book.
I just got this book fresh from Taiwan and it’s the autographed edition. This book is like a sequel to 森林裡的秘密, and I found it very interesting. In this one, you can once again feel the loneliness that exists in Jimmy’s books.
